Antje Art The Holografic Costume
I had the vision to create an holographic costume and there are always many ways to reach your vision.
Thats why I always say “The way is always the goal”.
First I make the metal works; I create a lot of Jewlery with wire.
Next I created the Stones with resin and the same glitter as the fabric of the costume. I love to use the same materials all over my creations so everything repeats in the details of the dress, headdress, staff and wings. When I create a costume I always produce a lot of stones so I can enjoy choosing the perfect ones for every element of a costume.
Now you can see a lot of gemstones and crystals I produced for this costume. And the horns are getting a magical light with LED. I always try out different materials and the horns are made out of a lot the covering one around it all is Worbla. You can heat it up to create a shape…but take care if its heated up later again it will loose its shape. Once i forgot my Worbla Crown in the car and when we came back it was melted by the sun…it was so sad. So never leave your baby in the car^^
So here is the making of in a short Video. Because why you shall take a long time and not enjoy the short version aswell…. The last step for me is the photoshooting. I prepare myself with make up, lenses and im using a ring light to make self portraits in this case. Because I love to do paintings and illustrations I made some digital artwork out of the Final Foto.
